SIMPLY SCIENCE VISITS WRC

One of the Twin Cities more popular evening news segments, Simply Science with Sven Sundgaard, stopped by WRC to film a segment on the work we do.

Sven had dropped off an injured pigeon earlier in the week and was interested in learning more about what happens "behind the scenes."

WRC PUBLIC BIRD RELEASES SCHEDULED

There really isn't anything better than seeing a wild animal returned to the wild. When it's a group of young birds who are taking their first wild flight, it's even more memorable.

Please join us as we release dozens of birds that have been raised in our Avian Nursery.

Other than the scheduled release on July 17, all releases will be announced TWO DAYS PRIOR via this page, our home page, and the Pulse. Please continue to check for release dates.

The releases take place at 10am on the south side of the parking lot (by the pavilion). Releases will NOT be held if it's raining or storms are moving in. (The birds need several hours to acclimate themselves to their new territories.)
