What wonderful, gorgeous little birds - and very labor intensive to raise. I recently read "Birdology" by Sy Montgomery, which contains a terrific (not to mention suspensful) chapter about a rehabber who specializes in hummingbirds. It really gives you an appreciation for the people who dedicate so much of their time and energy to raising these little flying jewels. Highly recommended reading for those who love birds! Oh, I do so hope they thrive! What wonderful, gorgeous little birds – and very labor intensive to raise.
